Belgian IS terrorist arrested in Istanbul

istanbul - The Istanbul police arrested a Belgian who was likely to prepare an attack on behalf of the Islamic State terrorist organization.

According to Turkish media, the man, identified as Mehdi A., was responsible for IS activities in Europe and was sought internationally. His wife and their child are also detained.

The Belgian jihadist would have gone to Syria with his wife in 2014 and then come to Istanbul to take an attack. The Turkish police shaded the suspect for some time before picking him up. Among other things, surveillance cameras checked their corridors in the Bosphorus metropolis.
