Actress Emmanuelle Riva (89) deceased

paris - French actress Emmanuelle Riva Friday at the age of 89 deceased in her hometown Paris. It reported several French media Saturday. With Amour by Michael Haneke she made a remarkable comeback in 2012. She received several international film awards for the film, including a Bafta for best female lead.

Riva suffered for some time with cancer. The actress became famous for her role in Hiroshima mon amour (1959) and starred in films by Pontecorvo, Arrabal and Bellocchio. In 1993 she played the mother of Juliette Binoche in Trois Couleurs: Bleu (1993).

Riva also released several books of poetry out.
